The app I actually use instead of a chat tab. Dictation, chat without the persona, notes, and tasks — a local thinking partner, not an answer engine.

Commercial tools optimize for a mainstream audience and lock-in. This one is personal: data on disk I can leave with, context I can inspect, voice when typing is the wrong interface.

Harness home screen — a quote, a compose box, and quiet corner facts. The library is closed.
It opens to a quote and a box. Time, the date, and how much I’ve dictated sit in the corners. The library stays out of the way until I want it.
Harness Q&A mode — a short question in the thread and lettered choices in the composer.
Q&A asks one question at a time and puts the choices in the composer. Chat stays short; longer writing goes into a note.
